Another month down in 2017! Still can't believe it's March 1st today. Time seems to be flying by and I don't know about you, but I need to get realigned with my personal goals. The gloomy cold weather in January did a number on my mental and emotional state and I lost a lot of motivation by the end of the month that spilled into February. Thankfully, the last week or so of February has been beautiful! It's kind of incredible how much sunshine improves my mood. I need the sun and warmth.
But enough about the weather. Here's your February Round-Up!
The Heart - I think this description says everything: "A radio show about the terrors and triumphs of intimacy, the bliss and banality of being in love, and the wild diversity of the human heart." I started tuning in during their Ghost series which talks about how people you date, sleep with and have a relationship with can end up as ghosts in your life. Their depth is pretty reaching so if you don't like one episode it's not necessarily a precursing for the podcast as a whole.
We Should All Be Feminist by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - A collection of essays (or one giant essay separated into parts) based on her TedX talk with the same name. I really enjoyed her writing as she touches on feminism, inclusion, and equality. This was $2.99 on my kindle. No one can afford not to read this.
A Man Named Ove by Frederick Backman - The classic tale of an old curmudgeon who is eventually brought out of his shell and has a change of heart. The story line is one that has been told a hundred times, but I absolutely loved the humor and wit of this book. The writing has the ability to make you laugh out loud and cry all in the same paragraph.

What Happens When We Stop Putting People In Boxes - Absolutely loved this short video. Such a great reminder of the boxes and labels we give people when we are all more alike than we think.

How To Protect White People's Feelings In The Workplace - This video is so wrong but so funny. Because obviously, it's the white people we need to be concerned about.
